Built for serious use and designed to last, this end grain chopping board crafted from sustainably-sourced British Beech hardwood combines durability, performance, and understated visual character.
The board features a striking mosaic of end grain blocks. This construction isn’t just for looks—end grain surfaces are naturally kinder to knives, allowing the blade to slip between fibres rather than cutting across them. The result is a surface that helps maintain sharper edges for longer while also offering excellent resistance to wear.
The varied tones and grain patterns combined with the checkerboard construction give each board a unique appearance, with subtle contrast that stands out without overpowering your kitchen.
Finished smooth and treated with our own blend of food-safe mineral oil and beeswax, it has a warm, tactile feel that only improves with use.
At a substantial thickness, this board sits solidly on the worktop, providing a stable and dependable surface for everything from everyday prep to heavier butchery work.

Cleaning
After light use, the board can simply be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
If heavier washing is needed, wash with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth or brush.
Never soak the board or put it in the dishwasher. Excessive heat and moisture will cause the wood to warp or crack.
Drying & Storage
Store the board upright on its edge while drying. This ensures water doesn't pool and collect on the surface of the board, which can cause the wood to warp.
Maintenance
Your board arrives pre-finished with our own blend of mineral oil, beeswax, and carnauba wax. To maintain this protective barrier:
Re-oil regularly: When the wood looks dull or "thirsty," apply a food-grade mineral oil. and allow to dry for 24 hours.
Re-wax: Every few months, apply a wood conditioner (wax/oil blend) to restore the water-resistant sheen.
